01 Privacy

Privacy.

This website collects no personal information. It has no forms, no accounts, no analytics and no advertising, and it sets no cookies.

Its fonts (Barlow Condensed, IBM Plex Sans and IBM Plex Mono) are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers when a page loads. Google’s handling of that connection is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

If you use the “Share” button, your device’s own share sheet or clipboard is used; nothing is sent to the trust. Links to other organisations (such as ORRCA, WIRES, the ACNC and Google Maps) take you to their sites, which have their own privacy policies.

If you contact the trust, it will use your details only to reply to you.

02 Accessibility

Accessibility.

We want everyone to be able to use this site. It has been built to:

  • work with a keyboard alone, with a “Skip to content” link, a visible focus outline, a menu that opens and closes from the keyboard (Escape closes it), and keyboard controls for the interactive pieces (the turtle journey has a slider that works with arrow keys);
  • respect the “reduce motion” setting on your device: parallax, drifting particles and animations are switched off;
  • keep text readable over photographs, with darkened overlays aiming for WCAG 2.2 AA contrast;
  • describe meaningful images with alternative text, and hide decorative layers from screen readers;
  • use proper headings, landmarks and lists, and keep its content readable without JavaScript.

If something does not work for you, please tell the trust (see Contact) and say which page and what happened.

03 Complaints and concerns

Complaints and concerns.

If you have a concern about the trust, its fundraising or this website, please raise it with the trust first (see Contact, or write to its registered address).

If it is not resolved, or you think the trust is not meeting its obligations as a charity, you can raise a concern with the ACNC, the national regulator of charities.

04 Images

About the photographs.

The photographs on this site show marine wildlife and the sea in general. They do not show animals the trust has helped, its people or any premises.
